My name is Jack. I am a security engineer, DJ, musician, writer, and film producer based in Brooklyn, NY by way of Oakland, CA. I received my BA in Computer Science from Yale University in 2020 and am currently a Year 13 member of the Art & Code Track at NEW INC, supported by the New Museum and Rhizome. My research applies cybersecurity practices towards fortifying subversive cultural activations such as underground raves and collective actions from state surveillance and commercial appropriation.
I am interested in resistive practices for preserving and nurturing cultural spaces in the wake of hyper-algorithmic consumption patterns that bolster corporate extraction and fetishization. My work explores technological autonomy, discretion, and collectivity as means of safeguarding the integrity and intimacy of cultural production.
